Tesla Roadster is an electric sports car. The prototype was introduced in 2006 and since that more than 1,000 cars have been reserved. You can reserve your Roadster visiting their home page for a $9,900 refundable deposit. Production is due to start later this year. You can choose from 16 exterior colours and 10 different interior trim variations. This electric car is so fast that it needs a rev limiter and real Brembo racing brakes to bring it to halt. Tesla Motors claim that it costs $0.02 per mile to operate the Roadster.
